This is Chito Wambili. She is a very sweet
little girl who is loved much. Because of the
shortage of staff in the orphanage, and not
enough funds for formula, when we first met
her she was malnourished and under
developed. She had recently lost her
twin brother. She couldn't hold her head up
or sit. She had been left in her crib most of the
first 14 months of her life. She recently had a
surgery to try to release the tight muscles in her
legs (because she had been left in her crib
so much) to hopefully help her be able to walk
one day. Please pray she recovers quickly.
She is amazing little girl, and has overcome
insurmountable odds. Now she is seen scooting
around the orphanage, smiling and beginning to
play with the other children. In her eyes, that once
only reflected pain and despair, one can begin
to see hope. She turned 2 in February.
